Working on Playtest Feedback
- Held playtesting sessions at GDDC playtesting event.
- Made minor changes to layout of level 1.
- Changed mixing of future audio.
- Working on fixing issue where you can drop items in objects and in the ground.
- Brainstormed ways to make clues or changes in the present easier to find, with some implemented already.
This week we primarily focused on analysing the many pieces of feedback we got from the playtesting session we had on the 21st. We skimmed through it all and leveraged it to create a list of tasks that we will go through to improve the game.
Going through and updating the aforementioned task list is our current focus. Halfway through the week we will meet up and asses our progress and next steps.
From the feedback we learned that the game mechanics as they are, are fun! A lot of people seemed to enjoy running around and taking advantage of the controls/features in place. However, the current level design is confusing. Many people were unsure how they were supposed to proceed, and missed many clues/events and that's something we need and plan to fix.
